Akihabara Auction Inc. (location: 8-7 Nibancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) will be held on Saturday, September 24th.
We will hold the 4th Akihabara Auction.

This time, as a special anime feature that was popular last time, we will exhibit a large number of animation cels, genga, and douga those are very popular around the world. If you would like to see the exhibited works in advance, we will hold a preview at the same venue. Admission/participation is free for both preview and this auction.

Akihabara Auctions Inc.（HQ：8-7, Nibancho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo）announced that “THIRD AKIHABARA SPECIAL AUCTION” focused on subculture and pop culture will be held at Akihabara, which is a sacred place of Japanese subculture and pop culture, on MONDAY, JULY 18th, 2022.
They are selling more than the number of listings so far, and they will hold a “Preview Event” where you can actually preview the items on Sunday, July 17th. Anyone can participate (Pre-Registration Required), and you can compete by raising the paddle at the venue of Akihabara UDX. In addition, you can participate in online bidding. The 3rd Akihabara Auction will feature guitars and saxophones of used musical instruments (Gibson Fender Martin Selmer Yanagisawa YAMAHA) as well as railway parts. The catalog will be updated on July 1st. Thy are accepting the items for sale until June 20th.

Akihabara Auctions（HQ：Chiyoda, Tokyo）announced that an auction event “FIRST ANNUAL AKIHABARA AUCTION” focused on subculture and pop culture will be held at Akihabara UDX 4th Floor, UDX Gallery, on SUNDAY, JANUARY 30th, 2022.

Japanese subculture and pop culture centering on such as animation, games, and trading cards have recently been drawing attention all over the world as an investment target. For example, one cell painting of Japanese anime works produced in the 1980s and 1990s was first picked up in Hong Kong Sotheby’s, and it has been sold with a high price. Starting with this, the art works mainly by AKIRA and Ghibli have been sold at the U.S. Auction House with a high price more than $50,000 (approximately 5.5 million yen) in June 2021. Also, the prices in the field of game software and trading cards continue to rise. It became a hot topic all over the world in August 2021 that one unopened Nintendo game software released in 1985 has been sold at the U.S. Auction House for $2 million (about 200 million 20 million yen).
